Run As Administrator
The very first thing you should try is running Logitech Gaming Software as the administrator. You can do that by:
Step 1. Right-click on Logitech Gaming Software icon. It can be a desktop icon or in start menu.
Step 2. Click on Run as administrator. If you’re on a start menu, you can find it under More.
Update Logitech Gaming Software
Some of the newer devices, such as Logitech G Pro, will not be compatible until the software is updated manually.
Step 1. In Logitech Gaming Software, click on the arrow that pops up when you hover on the question mark icon.
Step 2. Click on Check For Updates.
Step 3. Logitech Updater will pop up. Click Download to download updated software.
Step 4. Install the update, and choose if you want to restart now or later. If you choose to restart now, make sure you save your work.
Step 5. Logitech Gaming Software is able to detect Logitech G Pro mouse now.
Run LCore As Administrator
If that doesn’t fix the problem, or if the error happens again, try this:
Step 1. Go to the folder where Logitech Gaming Software is installed. The default directory is C:\Program Files\Logitech Gaming Software.
Step 2. Right click on a file called LCore.
Step 3. Click on Properties.
Step 4. Go to Compatibility tab.
Step 5. Check Run this program as an administrator.
Step 6. Click Apply, then OK.
Uninstall and reinstall Logitech Gaming Software
Make sure your device is unplugged before you start.
Step 1. Search for Add or remove programs on Windows search bar, next to the Windows button.
Step 2. Click on Add or remove programs.
Step 3. Scroll down until you see Logitech Gaming Software. Click on it.
Step 4. Click Uninstall.
Step 5. Click Uninstall.
Step 6. Click Yes.
Step 7. Click Finish.
Now, we will reinstall Logitech Gaming Software.
Step 8. If you need the installation file, download it from the Logitech website.
Step 9. Read the License Agreement. If you accept, click on I accept the terms in the license agreement, then click Install.
Step 10. Wait for the installation to finish.
Step 11. Once finished, choose if you want to restart your computer now or later, then click Done. If you are going to restart now, make sure everything is saved so you don’t lose any work.
